KTconsulting is a specialised provider of industrial and employee relations and human resources in the Wollongong and greater Illawarra area. Utilising vast IR/HR expertise, both in an advisory and legal capacity, KTconsulting provides services primarily to small and medium-sized businesses and individuals.
We serve organisations that have little need for a permanent industrial relations or employee relations specialist on staff, but may require advice or assistance on a specialised project, ongoing employee issues, mentoring managers on employee engagement or ad hoc matters.
KTconsulting also provides services to individuals with their own particular workplace issues. We can provide coaching and support in approaching an employer about concerns and, if necessary, appear as an advocate in sensitive and difficult workplace conflicts in order to resolve matters amicably.
Industrial and Employee Relations
Kirsten Took has nearly 15 years experience in industrial and employee relations. She is a former Senior Associate at a top-tier law firm specialising in workplace and industrial law. There, Kirsten established herself as a skilled practitioner working with a diverse client base in all aspects of workplace relations law.
Deciding to move in-house as an industrial and employee relations specialist, Kirsten transitioned from being a lawyer, called upon when things went wrong, to a member of the workplace team, developing strategies, identifying risks and preventing disputes before they became an issue. After seven years in this role, she developed KTconsulting.
As principal of KTconsulting, Kirsten is passionate about working closely with her clients using practical and hands-on methods to develop workplace strategies. Her in-depth knowledge, legal background and ability to quickly identify the industrial and employee needs of a business have helped to establish her reputation as a skilled specialist in advising and assisting workplaces and individuals to meet their needs.
